About

I finished my Bachelor's in the top quartile of my class — before large language models existed — at the University of Twente in 2020. Since then I've worked as a full-stack developer at Visual Productions BV in the Netherlands, where I built the Purple Cloud: a platform for managing architectural lighting devices.

I'm comfortable across the whole stack — from bit-level protocol parsing on the backend to dynamic React interfaces on the front — and I like systems that are designed, not just assembled.

Visual Productions BV · Haarlem, Netherlands

Visual Productions designs and manufactures controllers for the installation and architectural lighting industry. I was hired to build the Purple Cloud — the platform through which clients manage their devices, with extra tooling for VP staff: account management, firmware storage, and the CMS behind the sales website.

As the sole web developer, I built both back-end (Node.js + TypeScript) and front-end (React) from the ground up, re-implemented the marketing website, and owned maintenance and new features across the marketing site, the Purple Cloud platform, the device servers, and the CMS.

BSc Computer Science

2017 — 2020

University of Twente · Enschede, Netherlands

A three-year program of twelve ten-week modules — including two minors (Biorobotics and Aircraft Engineering) and two modules for the bachelor thesis. Each module closed with a group project; I led 10 of the 11 teams I was on, building strong planning, leadership and interpersonal skills. Graduated in the top third with no failed modules.
